• In this class, we will learn all of the essentials concepts of 8th grade math, and most of Algebra 1.  We start with Solving Linear Equations and Inequalities, then continue into Number Systems (Real, Rational, Irrational). We will then move into Functions and Linear Models, as well as Scatter Plots.  Second semester, we will continue with Systems of Linear Equations and Inequalities, then move into Exponents and Scientific Notation .  Next, we will learn about Exponential Functions, Polynomials and Factoring, and end the year with Quadratics.  Students must earn at least a B in both semesters to be eligible to continue in Compacted 8 the following year.
