Erin Nielsen - Principal
Welcome, Lions Families!
I am pleased to be back as the principal of LaVorgna Elementary, and this will be my fifth year as a member of the LES team.
This year, I begin my 24th year in education in the Temecula Valley Unified School District, and it is hard to imagine that I began my career as a student teacher in Susan LaVorgna’s kindergarten classroom at Pauba Valley Elementary in 2001. Susan and her teaching partner were wonderful mentors to me, and I feel honored to be at the helm of Susan's namesake school many years later.
The LaVorgna community is strong, supportive, and student-centered. Simply put, LES is an AWESOME place for students to grow and engage in their learning to reach their maximum potential!
I want to take a special moment to welcome our new families. We welcome you to the community and are thrilled to have you join our Lions Family. I look forward to meeting all of you and encourage you to become involved in our school community. A great way to become involved is to join our amazing P.T.A., which plays a very active role in supporting our students, staff, parents, and our school. We invite you to participate in the many wonderful events that our P.T.A. hosts.
I am so proud to be part of the amazing LaVorgna staff. Our teaching staff consists of highly qualified educators who collaborate as a Professional Learning Community to ensure the academic and social growth of every child as we prepare our students to be college and career-ready. Our support staff is equally dedicated to your child’s success, and we are blessed to have so many caring adults on our campus. We remain committed to ensuring that our students and families feel welcome and supported. We will keep you updated with frequent communication every step of the way throughout the school year.
I look forward to supporting all of you and we encourage you to become involved in our school community. Your partnership means everything to us, and ultimately, we believe that a strong home-school connection is vital to student success.
I want to personally thank you for entrusting our team with the safety and education of your child. It is our greatest honor and we are here to serve you.
