Welcome to Kindergarten!

I am so happy to be a part of the LaVorgna Lion family. I love being a teacher and watching the children expand their minds and grow socially as well as academically in Kindergarten. I have taught for over 15 years and have just moved here from North Carolina. I was born and raised in California and after several years of moving around with my husband's military career in the Coast Guard, he has retired and we are finally home! I graduated with my BA degree in Liberal Studies from Cal State San Bernardino, my Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from Cal State East Bay and my CLAD credential from the University of San Diego. I have previously taught kinder, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades in Chula Vista, Pacifica and North Carolina.

I have 4 children, all boys! Tyler is my oldest who lives in NC, my second oldest Bryce is in the U.S. Coast Guard stationed in Puerto Rico. I also have a sophomore at Chaparral and a middle schooler at Bella Vista! I am huge LA Dodgers fan and love baseball, coffee, tacos and cupcakes!! :)

I believe all students can learn and grow if they are given the correct tools and a positive learning environment. I am excited to provide those to your child and look forward to learning and growing together.
