Hello!  My name is Neisha McNamara, and I’m proud to say this is my 23rd year teaching.  I am the Math Intervention Specialist here at Alamos and Pauba Valley Elementary Schools. I have experience teaching most elementary grades.  I earned my BA in Diversified Education as well as my teaching credential from the University of La Verne.  I love to enable students to see mathematics as an open, growth, learning subject and themselves as powerful agents in the learning process. I want to create and maintain a growth mindset mathematics classroom.  

As a math specialist, I provide direct small ­group instruction for 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students in a small group setting focused on number sense. I support our teachers by researching and developing more effective mathematics teaching practices.  I'm here at AES on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, and then over at Pauba Valley Elementary on Thursdays and Fridays.

On a personal note, I am married and have two boys and two wonderful dogs that are spoiled rotten!  My favorite place to visit and hike is Yosemite National Park.
