I am so excited to have your child in my class this year and look forward to the exciting and challenging journey of first grade. I strive to provide an atmosphere that is safe, encouraging and full of chances for discovery, growth and practice.  I have high expectations for all of my students because I believe if you set the bar high, students will reach for it.  I am aware that each child enters the classroom with unique experiences, backgrounds, talents and skills.  I do my best to meet each child where they are and challenge them to grow to the next level of development and beyond.  It is amazing to witness the tremendous growth that occurs during first grade and that is why I LOVE teaching First Grade!!!  I believe that parents and family play a huge part in the academic achievement of a child.  I cannot do it on my own! Anything I can do to make this journey in first grade even better for your child, please let me know.  

I live locally with my husband and 4 children.  I have been teaching for 22 years.
