Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Cary Pyle

This is my twenty-third year of teaching and I am always looking for innovative ways to motivate my students to do their best. I emphasize the importance of thinking about their future and encourage the class to wear a college t-shirt, a military style t-shirt, or a t-shirt with a positive message on Wednesdays. When it comes time for the Class of 2028 to decide their future path, I want them to have many options available to them and that can only happen if they take ownership of their learning and behavior. As for me, the road I traveled through college was time consuming and it took me to several campuses.

  • attended Palomar Community College and earned an AA Degree
  • transferred to Sonoma State and earned a BA Degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in physical education
  • participated in a student exchange program to Westfield State College in Massachusetts before graduating from Sonoma State
  • received my teaching credential through Chapman University
  • cleared my teaching credential University of San Diego
  • completed Professional Development courses through University of Phoenix
  • earned my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction through Concordia University

I have two reasons for listing all of the colleges I attended. First, it demonstrates that there are many ways to accomplish your goal. Second, perseverance is necessary if you want to travel the path that leads to achievement.

I have a beautiful wife, Tara, and two young adult stepsons, Connor and Carson.

Mission for the Class

My mission as an educator is to teach young people the important skills, knowledge, and values necessary to be successful in the classroom and in life. What better way to teach these important skills, knowledge, and attitudes than to model them?
