Hi welcome to Literacy!  I'm thrilled to work with your child in literacy this year.  I have been an educator for over 25 years and  have taught 1st - 3rd grade in LA, San Diego and have been here in Temecula for over 20 years.  I'm a mom of 2 awesome college kids and the wife of a high school athletic director.  I am very passionate about reading and the importance of having a strong literacy foundation.  The reading program that I will be implementing has a robust focus on phonological awareness, orthographic mapping, vocabulary development, comprehension and many other skills under the 'phonological umbrella' that will best support your child in literacy.  I pride myself in using best practices and up to date data and learning the science behind how I can best scaffold their reading instruction.  It is also very important for me to encourage, and instill a 'growth mindset' and love for reading in them as well.
