Hello, my name is Dana Miller. I teach 2nd grade at LaVorgna Elementary. This is a wonderful grade to teach since the students gain such confidence in their ability to read, write and manipulate numbers in math. I love being a part of giving them confidence in their own unique abilities, growth, choices and decision making.

My goal is that each one of my students not only grows academically, but in knowledge of how to be good to themselves and others. All of our brains and bodies work differently. We should all be accepted, encouraged and loved for who we are as individuals.

When I am not teaching I spend my time at home with my family. I am married to Tyler, he is the Head of Instruction at Bear Creek Golf Club. We have three girls, ages 11, 9, and 5. They keep us very busy participating in dance and gymnastics. I am also involved with the Down Syndrome community here in the area as a parent and an educator. I graduated from Concordia University at Irvine with a BA and then later with my MA in Administration. I began my teaching career in Orange County, CA working in Saddleback Valley Unified at a California Distinguished School for several years, then moved to Temecula Valley Unified in 2001. Teaching is my passion and truly a privilege.
