Computer usage and the skill of operating a keyboard effectively and efficiently will be an important aspect of your child’s education as well as their ever-changing technology world. Computer literacy goes well beyond social networking, gaming, and cell phones. Please note the following objectives:

• To expose students to practical examples of the computer as a useful tool;
• To acquaint students with the proper procedures to create documents, presentations, and worksheets suitable for coursework, professional purposes, and personal use;
• To help students discover the underlying functionality of Microsoft Office so they can become more productive; and
• To develop an exercise-oriented approach that allows learning by doing.
