Welcome to my webpage! We hope you find the information useful and helpful as you browse the webpage.  For the 2021-2022 school year, I am currently teaching Forensics and Biology. 

On a personal note, I grew up in a small town called Weed in northern California.  After high school, I obtained my degree in Biological Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.     From graduation, I finished my teaching credential at California State University, Sacramento and have been teaching secondary Science for the past 30 years ever since.    With two Masters in Curriculum and Instruction (CSUS) and  Administration (Concordia University.) I have a tremendous love of  learning and teaching teenagers, especially SCIENCE!  Married to my wonderful husband, Gary, we love our twin boys (Brandon and Justin who are  2017 graduates of GOHS.)  It is so much fun to watch them become young men with worthy careers.

Looking forward to exploring with you the joys, intricacies and phenomena of our living systems.  We will look at content standards, crosscutting concepts and scientific and engineering practices as we learn about Biology. 

In Forensics, we will investigate crime scenes, manage escape rooms and examine the different types of evidence found in numerous case studies.  We will learn through inquiry, scrutiny and research to understand the nature of the cases while promoting the many fields of forensic studies.
